It's time to spring forward at the library - WPLD Spring Storyhour begins March 1st!

WPLD Spring Storyhour

WPLD Spring Storyhour begins Wednesday, March 1st.
Register your 3-5 year old to join the fun in the WPLD Children's Room every Wednesday through May 3rd.
We are offering a morning session from 9:30-10:30am, and an afternoon session from 1:00-2:00pm.
Stories, crafts, games, songs, & snacks await your Little One at Spring Storyhour! Registration is required.


Community Easter Egg Hunt

WPLD is once again hosting the 2017 Community Easter Egg Hunt.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 15th  at 10:00am at the Williamsfield Public Library.
The rain location is the Williamsfield School.
WPLD would appreciate donations to help with candy & draw prize expenses for this huge Spring Community Event.
Let's hop to it & give these Kids a great Easter Egg Hunt!


Valentines for Veterans Campaign 2017:


Feel the love!
WPLD Friends & Families not only met our 2017 goal of 2531 Valentines for Veterans;
we exceeded it!
On Monday, Feb. 6th we mailed 2539 Valentines for Veterans to 8 Veterans Homes, Hospitals, & Clinics
all across the state of Illinois.
Thank you to everyone who helped us send good wishes to our wonderful Veterans! 2018 goal: 2540

Be a Smart Cookie Tuesday:

WPLD wants you to be a smart cookie!
Every Tuesday January 3rd through Tuesday, February 28th, you will receive a free cookie when you check out a book from WPLD.
You must check out a book, not movies, to receive your cookie.
One cookie per Patron per day, please.

Color Me Happy Thursday:

Every Thursday from January 5th through Thursday, February 23rd,
plan to stop by WPLD anytime from 7:30am – 7:00pm to color your winter blues away!
This is a program for Adults only (18 & Up).
WPLD provides your coloring sheet & pencils.
Let us know if you are interested in forming a Coloring Group – the more the merrier!

No Reason to be Bored Board Game Saturday:

Make plans to meet your friends at WPLD on Saturdays from 9:00am – 12:00 noon from January 7th
through Saturday, February 25th for Board Game Saturdays.
WPLD has Legos and a variety of board games available for our Patrons to play.

Jigsaw Puzzle Table Challenge:


Stop by WPLD anytime during regular hours & see if you can add a few pieces to our ongoing Jigsaw puzzles,
set up in the WPLD Reading Area.
The Jigsaw Table will be set up from Tuesday, January 3rd through Tuesday, February 28th.
There’s snow reason to let cabin fever set in this winter –
bundle up & head for WPLD to enjoy our many winter activities!
